DO YOU CHARGE STAND DOWN DURING COVID LOCKDOWNS?
No, we don’t charge a stand down rate if your crews are unable to work due to Covid Alert Level 4 Lockdown in your region.
DO YOU CHARGE STAND DOWN OVER THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD?
No, we don't charge a stand down rate over the Christmas and New Year period. We won't start charging until the machine is back at work.
WHO COVERS INSURANCE?
Insurance is included in our rate and is subject to review during the period of hire, aligned with when our premiums increase. In the event of a claim, as the hirer you are responsible to pay the excess under any insurance claim involving the machinery during you hire period.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS?
Log Lease carries out 250 hour services and general check ups on all of our machines. You must notify us immediately of any breakdowns and we will organise and take care of any cost of the repairs, provided the breakdown wasn't caused by negligence of the operator.
WHY SHOULD I LEASE LOGGING GEAR?
Reliable, quality equipment is key to hitting production and running a successful harvesting operation, but quality gear is expensive. Leasing logging gear is an alternative solution, that reduces financial risk and stress for many contractors.
WHAT FLEET DO YOU HAVE?
We have a fleet of haulers, skidders, loaders and other mechanised gear available for lease. Check out our equipment page for more details.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM HIRE PERIOD?
The minimum hire period for a Hauler is 12 months. The minimum hire period for any other machine is 3 months.
The Hirer must give at least three months’ notice in writing if it wishes to terminate this agreement earlier and Log Lease Ltd retains the right to terminate the agreement immediately, if necessary, to protect its interest.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING GEAR?
The Hirer is liable for transport of the Machinery from, and return to Log Lease's premises in either Gisborne, Maramarua or Whangamata as directed by Log Lease, and will be responsible for any damages that occur in transit.

We lease all over the North Island but unfortunately not in the South Island
